Hi Jtim - bit of a late reply, I've not been on here for some time. Good to hear youre seeing the same doctor. In regard to side effects, I have not blushed once since the surgery and no longer get that hideous feeling i used to get when it happened. I do still flush on occasion, for example, if my adrenaline is up or Im in a boiling room. The compensatory sweating was a bit concerning, on the back and chest mainly but seems to have died down now the weather is cooler. I've said before but using Driclor completely stopped the compensatory sweating so would recommend using it. In the last month or so I have noticed a slight moist brow, nose and upper lip if eating strong foods, I.e. pickle, extra mature cheddar, vinegar, and spice. This isn't a problem really because it's not really visible but you do notice it happening. I will report back soon.

Just a heads up, apply at night just before you sleep and make sure the room is cool. If you sweat while it's on, it tends to sting. After a couple of nights with it on you will only need to apply like once every two weeks.

So the whole sweating through my shirt last week was becoming tiresome. I bought some Driclor from Boots and wow, no more sweating, works a treat

Another roasting hot day and my back and chest got pretty wet on my journey home. I put this down to my car registering as 34 degrees and me not having ac! I suppose I would normally have been sweating like a madman even before this surgery - odd when I look in the mirror because I look cool as a cucumber

So today was super super hot and my car doesn't have ac, needless to say, my back was pretty damp!

So just over a week on I've had a few interesting occurrences. Last Monday night I had some considerable pain in my back between my shoulder blades. It went away by Tuesday and i think it must have been the gas moving about in my chest cavity. Thursday I began to get a niggling pain in my back and radiating down my arms to the elbow. Like the pain you get when your back needs to be clicked. Come yesterday it had gone from my back and there is a strange sensation in my arms. Specifically my upper arms and elbow joints feel hyper sensitive and the nerve endings seem to be tingling. Not too much of a bother but I definitely notice it. As for blushing.... gone completely. No redness and no horrible feeling that accompanies it. I can see clients at work and not worry that I'll turn into a beetroot! I would say that having this op is the best 5k I've ever spent. Very pleased.

Finally managed to upload the pictures. First is obviously the entry wound. Second is the weird pimples on my hand - the same as I get in too much sun, like prickly heat.

The hand thing is strange, I'll add some photos when I get on the laptop later - can't do it from my phone. I don't know if I'm lucky or maybe the doctor didn't actually do anything but I don't feel different at all. No sweating anywhere, no other horrendous side effects, nothing (bar the hand thing). I'm sure some things will creep along at some point, we'll see. Heart rate is about 50 - 60 BPM, maybe slightly lower than before

First weird thing I noticed is that my hands have small white patches in them when I hang them by my sides. Vessels adjusting to the lack of innervation I guess
