  1. here.. any blushfests planned?
  2. This has happened to me so many times, I go some place and then wonder, why the hell did I come in here anyway, all I'm going to do is blush and sweat and look nervous!!!
  3. There have been things in the pipeline for a long time, I waited for the magic hot pink powder from chanel that would compelty hide our blushes. I still wait for sanrosa but according to Dr Nase, it is unlikely to work for us as blushing is a sudden intense vascular responce rather than a gradual flush. There have certainly been some incredible success stories from ETS on this board, and equally we have heard of some extreme side affects.
  4. Hi ETS clamping is theoretically reversible, but it cannot be garuntteed. It should be remebered though that this procedure is carred out all over the world everyday, only a minority have severe side affects.
  5. Hi Mick Thanks for the update, I am pleased everything has gone well so far... I hope it works out for you, be sure to let us know how you are doing.

Quoting Dr Nase "It will not stop facial blushing because that is such as strong neuro-vascular response, but it may possibly decrease it to the extent that it is almost not noticeable. I am now talking theory because there have been no tests on blushing, but it is educated theory (is there such a thing?)" I never knew that!!
  7. Visit http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/ and search for "isolated facial blushing" The Danish studdy was for blushing alone and they reported 90% some effect, 75% excellent or satisfactory.
  8. I will be thinking of you on Friday.. please let us know how it goes. I wish you the best of luck. I posted some ETS statistics for facial blushing here: http://www.esfbchannel.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3176
  9. I find once the first blush is out of the way, I can relax a bit. If you are very prepared with your answers that will also help you to relax
  10. I was wondering what is the worst comment someone has made about your blushing? For me, when I was in school someone made a joke about porn, and I turned deep red. Later someone questioned me why had I gone red at that moment and asked was it because I was a porn star??!!
  11. I agree that ETS is the only long term solution for us at this time likely to result in a cure. Western therapy is unlikely to help, only a complete shift in conciousness to one who is completly selfless and simply does not care about how others see them would result freedom from blushing. I did a search on pubmed and pulled together the results published for treatment of facial blushing by ETS. Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Odense University Hospital, Odense, Denmark Number of patients - 180 Surgery performed at - T2 Success Rate - 90% some effect, 75% excellent or satisfactory Side Affects - 88% experienced compensatory sweating Length of Follow-up - 6 years Department of Surgery, Borås Hospital, Sweden Number of patients - 1314 Surgery performed at - Not reported Success Rate - 85% Side Affects - 83% experienced compensatory sweating Length of Follow-up - 29 months Department of Thoracic Surgery, Royal Victoria Hospital, Grosvenor Road, Belfast Number of patients - 24 Surgery performed at - Not reported Success Rate - 84% Side Affects - 77% experienced compensatory sweating Length of Follow-up - 5 - 140 months Department of General Surgery, King's College Hospital, London, UK. Number of patients - 59 Success Rate - Quality of life was reported to be much better in 63% Side Affects - Not reported Length of Follow-up - 3 years Although we often see posts relating to severe side effects of ETS, it should be remembered that this procedure is routinely carried out every day all over the world. Only a small number of patients end up with debilitating problems.
  12. Yes, I find this too... For example, I start to build confidence around an individual at work and as soon as I realise I am doing well and I haven't blushed in front of them for a while, I turn red. It all falls apart. Sometimes I feel sorry for the other person too, it can't be comfortable for them to have me turning red in front of them all the time.
  13. Sometimes I don't know what to say to people, I run out of ideas, probably because I am so tense during a conversation and can't relax. And then when I run out of ideas I turn red, and that makes it even more akward. Does anyone else find this?

Hi Peter That is great news for you! It must have been very strange only blushing on one side? Where did you have ETS and which surgeon? Please keep us up to date! Purity
  15. Hi Steve Never thought of that, maybe we would have to go on the treadmil first!
