Hey everyone, im new here but just want to share with you how frustrated i am with this stupid blushing problem i have. I cant even leave the house without putting on a large amount of make-up to hide the redness! Ive tried everything, from make-up to botox to hypnosis and nothing has worked. My final attempt to combat this will be visiting the doctors and seeing if they can give me something. I really dont wanna feel 'drugged' but it;s literallly the only thing i havent tried!
If anyone has any other ideas i'd love to hear them as im getting so frustrated with this now!

Glad i found this site tho, it keeps me sane!

ok, i completely fu**ed up a job interview yesterday! meaning i didnt even turn up as i started panicking when i had just got in my car! i'd spent ages plastering on the make-up and thought i was calm and collected but as i checked my face in the mirror i'd gone totaly red and then i started panicking! so i just went back inside the house and started crying!! not good!
I've really had it now and ive plucked up the courage to visit the doctor and tell her everything, my appointments in 2 hours and im nervous even though i no she's reallynice! how crazy is that.

Well i'll stop boring you now and for anyone who's interested i'll post my story of how it goes back here later on!!

Hey everyone, ok im feeling a lot better now, went to the doctors earlier and as soon as i sat down i ended up crying! it was awfull! but my doc was really nice and after a chat she suggested i try Propranolol and see how it goes. she said if it dosent work out for me then i should go back and try some other things, she also suggested finding me a counciler and giving that a try. so im gonna give this a go for now and see what happens. ive got another chance at that job interview saturday so she told me to increase the dosage and give it a go!

just wanna say anyone whos feeling really down should speak to their doctor as they can help us, even if it's just a little bit!

So i'll keep you all posted on how it goes!

Propranolol is a beta-blocker and can be prescribed for hypertension, but it can also be used to control anxiety etc. as it suppresses the overactive sympathetic nervous system.

i'm glad things worked out for you at the doctors easterchick. I remember the first time i went which was with my mum, felt so good afterwards.

6 years on i only take Propranolol when i need it which is ok and i use to see a counsellor which i can highly recommend if you find the right one for you, my one helped so much, its just the money.
