Hi, this is brett again. Im really glad to see that the magnesium has helped some people out. I wanted to write again about another way that I have been able to get magnesium. Its from a company named Hyland's and they make homeopathic medicines. The one that I am currently trying is Nerve Tonic. It contains 5 different minerals, including magnesium. You allow 6 small tablets to dissolve under your tongue or in your mouth three or so times a day. It has worked really well because its not just one dose a day but many so it can restore you body. They dont tast bad and they dissolve in a few seconds. For like 15 dollars you get 1000 tablets or for like 10 dollars you get 500.
Also, I will most likely try magnesium all by itself without the additional minerals. I will have to probably do this using another product. The stuff that I am using now says that it is 3x and I have seen some with 6x (I dont think this necessarily refers to potency, I dont fully understand homeopathic medications) which might help out more. One last thing, the product refers to the minerals as cell salts. Since the magnesium seems to help some people out, it might be something useful to look up and do research on.
FYI, so far I have tried: (1)magnesium in pills as a daily dose, (2) CALM-magnesium drink, (3) Hyland's Nerve Tonic |

if your brain is out of balance and youre very anxious, then it would probably be better to add proteines to your diet.
basically, its amino acids in the brain that regulate anxiety.. |

i took 750mg of magnesium yeterday and I felt a little woozy for a few hours. I didn't BLUSH though, when an instance came up. It might have been the magnesium becuase it kind of made me feel happy for once. I was a little high i guess you could say, but i was actually a little happy for the first time in years i'm probably going to take it from now on and see if I can get used to the dizzinness but still not blush. wow. |

could be that there is an interplay between magnesium and peptides in the brain. Growth hormones (one type of peptides) are important to muscle and bone growth, right? magnesium is good for muscles, right? so who knows, perhaps magnesium could act supportive to important peptides in the body, including those essential ones in the brain controlling anxiety... just my own theory
peptides are hormones, they consist of amino acids. Peptides are highly unstable, explaining why those who bought the cream dr nase recommended didnt have any luck..dont tell anybody, but peptides used topically is crap peptides are broken down fast by enzymes when you take them orally, so you should take them by injection or inhalation for sustained action ..inhalation is something both Novo Nordic, Pfizer and Eli Lilly are working on for diabetics, insuline you inhale I mean.
here is some reading about one controversial peptide, Nutrasweet

Scarface,
Please be careful with Magnesium. You can overdose on it...
Besides the "mild" side effects like nausea & diarrhea. (Remember, Milk of MAGNESIA for constipation?) Too much Mag causes ECG changes hypotension, bradycardia, cardiac arrest, respiratory depression. The reason why you felt "a little buzzed" was because you had CNS depression (i.e., impaired neuromuscular transmission, hyporeflexia). The overload of Magnesium can also lead to electrolyte/fluid abnormalities (hypophosphatemia, hyperosmolar dehydration). Patients with renal failure & metabolic derangements develop toxicity at lower doses. _________________ VickyGirl

| i think that eating some almonds is the best way to take magnesium. you could mix with walnuts (alpha lipoic acid, important omega-3 fatty acid) and if you like me got dandruff/seb derm pistacchio seem to work well. As far as I understand, magnesium is important to neurotransmission and proteinsysthesis..so my theory might be others theory as well cause the peptides/proteins in the brain act as neurotransmitters |
