I just want to add my thanks - It was Bob Bear who brought the Keromask concealer to my attention...I'd never heard of it before! So after reading about it on here, I bought some and - the rest is history!
I can honestly say my life has totally changed as a result of wearing this product. I have a new job and am outgoing in the office cause I'm no longer afraid of blushing!! I really feel that the world is my oyster now - I can do and say anything I want to without fearing the dreaded blushing. My confidence level has increased 300%!!
It's incredible, I feel so liberated! And BB, I really can't thank you enough for your help!

I have been using Keromask for about 8 months now (after using Dermacolor for about a year before that). I'd like to add how good it is that Bob Bear has been keeping up the discussion and profile regarding camoflage makeup because it has truly changed my life.
A few weeks ago I decided to go into a stressful situation without having applied any Keromask, just as a test (one I regretted immediately!). It was the first time I've looked truly tomato coloured for soo long. It made me realise how important it is to me. The fact is when I have it on, I blush very rarely now and when I do its partially covered.
I only put on a very small amount, so my cheeks are still red but it's toned down. It's only been in the last month that I've discoverd an application method that works really well for me (i.e so even I can't see it on my face in bright light really close up in a mirror). I put a tiny blob onto one of my fingers and then rub my finger and my thumb together quite hard for about 10secs so it's spread evenly between my thumb and finger, and it's also quite warm. Then I just dab the kermomask from my finger on one side of my face, and the stuff from my thumb on the other. I find it blends completely, whereas before I could still notice it clumping in small places. I don't know if I've explained this well but it works for me!
In terms of it not being a very manly thing to be doing, I've really gone past the point of caring. No one actually notices it, and if they did theres any number of excuses one could come up with about it being "medicated skin treatment" prescribed by a dermatologist etc... I don't have a girlfriend at the moment but I'd like to think she would understand about this condition that causes us all so many problems. If she doesn't then she's prob not the right girl for me
Anyway sorry for going on too much, I tend to lurk on these boards, but I'm always around. Thanks Bob Bear, it's good to have someone that goes the extra mile to get the information out there. |

What did you guys do, just order it off the internet? If I've understood correctly the most important thing to make it invisible is to match it to your own skin tone. Did you do this yourself or go to a make up artist and have it done? If you did it yourself was it difficult?
Glad you've found something that is working out for you. |

hey,
i just ordered mine off the internet...i have extremely pale skin, so i ordered the lightest available shade that wasn't white - ie, "ultra light". turns out it seems to be a great match for my skin tone!! the second time i ordered it, i got a tube of "white" as well, to mix it with the "ultra light" - but that made it too pale even for me! |

Dermacolor offers a "tester" pallete so you can really find the perfect shade. Some people get two so they can blend as necessary...or keep the darker shade for summertime. _________________ VickyGirl

Well, thanks all for the wonderful feedback. Makes me so happy to know that people are doing well. This place can get bogged down with depressing shite, so its fantastic to hear so many success stories!
Congrats to all over you
Vicky,
As it happens, Im giving Derma a go soon. Cookie recommended it to me, so I shall be giving it a blast. I hear it not quite so thick as Keromask, so I shall be interested to see how it goes on.
Will keep y'all posted ofcourse.

And I'm willing to try the Keromask, if you have a link that you used BB?
Anyone heard anything more about Colortration?

Heres a little bit of advice that Iv been told several times now - apply a little moisturizer before the cam cream. I believe this helps the thick product to distribute of the skin.
Iv been told this by several people, many of whom dont have FB or rosacea. Its appears to be standard practice for these heavier products.
I had no idea, lol!

| What shade do you recommend BB? Do they do any tester palettes? |

I was recommended to get both Light and Ultra light. Light is lightly more 'peachy' in tone.
If I use just ultra light, it makes me look ill, lol. I look a bit pale!
But sometimes Light can look to much, so I tend to mix the two.
I dont think they do test palettes unfortunately no. But if you get those two, you should be just fine. Alternatively you can get the individual colours and blend your own, but I wouldnt recommend it! I can imagine it being extraordinarily difficult to achieve.

I've ordered a trial pack of Colortration, will let everyone know how I get on with it.
Also, the Lycogel camouflage cream I received last week is not opaque enough to cover a flush/blush and I'm currently not willing to purchase the corresponding Lycogel concealer designed to wear under the foundation, as it works out so expensive to ship from the US ( I wish I'd bought them both at the same time )

Betty,
I was looking at that last night. The site does paint a very rosey picture, if you can excuse the pun
Think I may get the test palette aswell and give it a try. If nothing else, it appear to be quicker and easier to apply, and they claim it has a more natural finish.
Lets see!

Fingers crossed my skin actually likes this product, it looks really easy to apply. I ordered it Friday evening, so hopefully it should come sometime this week according to someone elses experience having it shipped.
